Parish Picnic – June 4

Pentecost Sunday, June 4 at 11:45 a.m. Brats and hot dogs are provided. Please bring a dish to share (salad, side or dessert) and lawn chairs. Come for Pentecost and stay for the picnic. Dress casually and enjoy this time of fellowship! Lost & Found Day! Check Founders’ Hall after the 8 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and before & after the 5 p.m. service for any items you may have left at the Cathedral. Anything not claimed will be donated to charity.

Neighborhood Prayer Walks

New Day and Time! Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. Every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., We will walk the neighborhood near the Cathedral and get to know the people we are called to serve. We will start in the Nave with a small prayer service, and end in the Nave with Compline and prayer for our community. For any questions, please contact Christine Morrison at cblankstir@gmail.com.

Ash Wednesday Services

March 1 7 a.m.—Perfect for persons on their way to or from work. This is the briefest of the three services. 12:05 p.m.—This service is shaped to include both the downtown business community and persons who are free during the day. 7 p.m.—This traditional service features open space. Following the invitation to a Holy Lent, those present visit various “stations” around the Nave. There participants will be marked with ashes in acknowledgment of mortality, be signed with water as a reminder of baptism, light candles and offer prayer, pick up information on ways to engage in outreach, receive laying-on-of-hands and...

Hygiene Kits for New Americans Students

Your donations are needed to provide kits of shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, lip balm and warm socks to refugee students in this program. We need to buy supplies for 140 students at a cost of approximately $8 per kit. Children will assemble the kits during chapel on December 4 and 11. Children can bring their donations to chapel or they can be put in the offering plate marked “New Americans.”
