Christmas Eve

5 p.m. • Christmas Eve with Pageant

Our children tell the Christmas Gospel story through their pageant.

All children are welcome to participate in the pageant. There are no lines to learn and simple costumes are provided. Children should meet in Haden Hall at 4:30 p.m.

After the service, everyone’s invited to keep the merriment going at a Cookies and Cocoa reception in Haden Hall.

Our choral celebration of Holy Eucharist on Christmas Eve begins with a Choral Prelude of Christmas music at 9:30 p.m., with the solemn liturgy following at 10 p.m. The service features traditional, familiar carols and service music, candlelight and incense.

Christmas Offering

Fifty percent of the Christmas offering is always donated to one or more organizations that are doing good in our world. This year the offering for outreach will be donated to the Harvesters: The Community Food Network. Please consider making a generous and sacrificial gift. The remainder of the offering is used for the mission and ministry of the Cathedral.

Offerings may be placed in the offering plate, made securely online or by texting “GIVETOGHTC christmas” to 73256.

Harvesters: The Community Food Network

Harvesters mobilizes the power of our community to create equitable access to nutritious food and address the root causes and impact of hunger.

Harvesters provides food and related household products to more than 900 nonprofit agencies including emergency food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes and others. They also offer education programs to increase community awareness of hunger and teach about good nutrition.
As a food bank, they do not provide direct services to families and seniors. They acquire, store and distribute food and household items to their network. Their network is made up of a variety of organizations including food pantries, community kitchens, shelters, children’s homes, schools, churches, community centers, health clinics, libraries and others. These agencies distribute groceries and meals directly to those in need.

During fiscal year 2023, Harvesters’ agencies helped Harvesters distribute more than 63 million pounds of food, providing more than 52.5 million meals.

Harvesters is a certified member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of more than 200 food banks.
For every dollar donated, you can help Harvesters provide two meals to those in need. These meals make it possible for a child to focus in school, for a mom to make it through her night shift and pay her family’s bills and for a senior citizen to avoid life-threatening illnesses. Your generosity transforms lives!
