About the Author

Randal J. Loy was born in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1953 and has been a life-long resident of the city. He graduated from UMKC in 1976 with a bachelor of music theory degree and with an English minor. Loy joyfully embraced the opportunity to prepare this book, devoting ten years to the research and fulfillment of this project.
