Pie Contest
Bring your finest pies to enter the pie-baking contest! Judges will evaluate submissions based on appearance, crust, and flavor across three categories: Pumpkin, Fruit, and Other Sweet.
All Saints’ Day
Sunday, November 1
On All Saints’ Day, we honor all those who have died in the past year. You may submit names of personal friends and family who have passed away in the last twelve months to be included in the bulletin.
Survey Answers Needed for Family Feud: GHTC Edition
We’re putting on our first-ever Cathedral Family Feud on November 20, and we need your help gathering answers. We’re hoping for a fun mix of (family-friendly) answers, so feel free to keep things light and a little silly. The more responses we get, the better the game will be on the day!
Help at Pete’s Garden
October 18, November 15, December 20 | 9:15 a.m. & 12:15 p.m.
Volunteer with fellow parishioners during coffee hour to put labels on the containers that will be used to package meals for families in need by Pete’s Garden. We will label upstairs in Founders’ Hall at both morning coffee hours. This is a great opportunity to help at Pete’s Garden. All ages are welcome; younger children should have a parent present.
Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan
Sunday, November 15 | 8 & 10:30 a.m.
Dust off your kilts and join the tartan-tastic fun at our annual Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan! We display the tartan banners and enjoy listening to a piper at the 8 a.m. service and the Kansas City St. Andrew Pipes and Drums at the 10:30 a.m. service. The celebration honors the Scottish Church’s contribution to the Episcopal Church. So put on your kilt and come celebrate with us!
Coffee Hour after Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan
Bring your favorite shortbread recipe to share with the parish and our special guests at coffee hour.
Bishop’s Visitation
Sunday, November 15
The Rt. Rev. Amy Dafler Meaux, Bishop of West Missouri, will preside and preach at the morning services at the Cathedral Sunday, November 15. She will also lead the 9:15 a.m. formation class.
Choral Evensong
Sunday, November 15 | 5 p.m.
Sung by our own Trinity Choir, Choral Evensong is a centuries-old Anglican musical service of sung Evening Prayer that combines music, prayer, and scripture into a contemplative experience providing a peaceful and reflective pause as the day closes. Following the service, all are welcome to take communion in the Chapel.
