Annual Croquet Tournament: Tiki Cup
September 12 | 12 p.m.
Join us for an exciting afternoon of croquet on the Cathedral lawn! Everyone is invited! You don’t have to be on a team to attend. Drop by and play a game on our Friendly Challenger croquet court, cheer on a team or simply enjoy the afternoon! We hope to see you there.
Ministry Fair
Sunday, September 13 | following both morning services
Our Ministry Fair is our annual celebration of the Cathedral ministries, recognizing the importance of all volunteer efforts. The Ministry Fair is a wonderful way for parishioners to meet and gather information about the various ministries, committees, organizations and educational opportunities that are available within the parish community.
If your ministry group would like to be involved in the ministry fair and you haven’t already received information, contact Julie Toma to reserve a table.
Back-to-School Blessing
Sunday, September 13 | 10:30 a.m. service
Students, teachers and school administrators are invited to bring their backpacks for a blessing for this school year.
Farewell Coffee Hour for Mother Clare
Sunday, September 20 | 9 & 11:30 a.m.
Please join us for a farewell party as we bid adieu to Mother Clare, Andres and Ollie J, who are embarking on a new and exciting chapter in their lives.
Help at Pete’s Garden
September 20 | 9:15 a.m. & 12:15 p.m.
Volunteer with fellow parishioners during coffee hour to put labels on the containers that will be used to package meals for families in need by Pete’s Garden. We will label upstairs in Founders’ Hall at both morning coffee hours. This is a great opportunity to help at Pete’s Garden. All ages are welcome; younger children should have a parent present.
Blessing of the Animals
Saturday, October 3 | 11 a.m.
Round up your furry, feathered, or scaly pals—be it dog, cat, rabbit, or turtle—for our Blessing of the Animals extravaganza! Join us on the north lawn for a brief service, where each critter gets their own blessing, plus treats for both pets and their humans. Please ensure your animal companion is securely leashed or restrained.
Blessing of the Stuffed Animals
Sunday, October 4 | 10:30 a.m.
Children are invited to bring their loved and adored stuffed animals and lovies for a blessing during the 10:30 a.m. service.
Hymn Sing & Dinner
Friday, October 9 | 6 p.m. dinner | 7 p.m. singing
Our annual Hymn Sing returns this year with the addition of a potluck dinner. Join us at 6 p.m. in Founders’ Hall to enjoy good food and company. The Hymn Sing begins at 7 p.m. in the Nave. Participants will have the opportunity to select hymns to be sung, be they old favorites, lesser-known gems, or rarely-heard curiosities. Come explore the riches of our hymnal!
Submit your favorite hymn(s). We will compile the list and sing our way through it. (Only hymns from The Hymnal 1982 and Wonder, Love, and Praise, please.)
