Women’s Lunch & Outreach Project

The women of GHTC are invited to help pack up food for children to have over the holiday break and treat bags for local school children.
Socks & Gloves Drive
Bring warm socks and gloves (for men and women) to the donation basket in the Tower during the months of November & December for the Shelter KC men’s and women’s centers.

Our annual service of Advent Lessons and Carols contains Bible readings and music provides an opportunity for spiritual reflection and preparation as we anticipate the joy of Christmas and the hope of Christ’s return. This event is free.


The City Come Again

William Jewell College’s gift to the city in words and music, features the college’s Handbell Choir, Concert Choir, conductor Dr. Lawrence Abernathy and organist Dr. Lucas Fletcher. This event is free.
Candlelight, Carols & Cathedral

The William Baker Festival Singers & Friends have presented a concert of exquisite beauty and wonder, Candlelight, Carols & Cathedral in the nave of Kansas City, Missouri’s majestic cathedrals. The concert includes beloved carols for the audience to sing, the telling of the Christmas story in traditional scripture, and beautiful choral music from the voices of Kansas City’s beloved a cappella choir. Christmas Worship Services
Christmas Eve
5 p.m. • Christmas Eve with Pageant
Our children tell the Christmas Gospel story through their pageant.
All children are welcome to participate in the pageant. There are no lines to learn and simple costumes are provided. Children should meet in Haden Hall at 4:30 p.m.
After the service, all are invited to Haden Hall for a Cookies and Cocoa reception.
10 p.m. • The Eve of the Nativity
Join us as we celebrate the birth of Christ.
Traditional, familiar carols and service music will be featured.

Greet the Incarnate Lord on Christmas morning with a celebration of Holy Eucharist with carols and organ music.

The Cathedral is located at the corner of 13th & Broadway across from the Convention Center. Our parking lot has entrances on all four sides of our campus. Free parking is available in our parking lot for about 100 cars. Handicapped spots are available near the main Cathedral entrance (by the playground), as well as to the east of Founders’ Hall. Enter through the courtyard between Founders’ Hall and the Nave.

Gifts of Flowers and Greens
Flowers and Greens will once again adorn the Cathedral as part of our celebrations. Your gift in memory of or in thanksgiving for a loved one helps provide festive decorations for Christmas Eve through The Feast of the Epiphany. This visual proclamation of the glory of the Incarnation adds so much to our celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
