From the Desk of Dean Andy • 4.10.2026

Alleluia, Christ is Risen! It was truly wonderful to be with all of you who came to worship during Holy Week and Easter. I cannot thank everyone enough for all your time and effort at making Holy Week and Easter a great success! Special thanks to Joan and the Altar Guild; to Lucas and the choir; to our extra musicians (brass and cello); the Facility Staff, Cathedral Staff, Janet and Ric, Livestream team, readers, ushers, acolytes, verger, Eucharistic Ministers, Easter Vigil/Easter reception team, and all other volunteers. For all who helped decorate, brought food, helped fill eggs, or whatever you did to help, it truly takes a lot of people doing many tasks to make it work, and I am grateful to all of you. I also want to thank Bishop Amy for joining with us for the Easter Vigil. I’m looking forward to a wonderful Easter season!

Now, looking ahead, we have many events coming up in the next couple weeks. Tonight is For Pete’s Sake, a fundraising event for Pete’s Garden from 6-8 p.m. in Founders’ Hall. You can get tickets here. Friday, April 24, is our BINGO night! Join us for a festive game night starting at 6 p.m. in the Common Room. Please bring food and drinks to share. We will provide soft drinks as we gather to compete with one another. I can’t guarantee how often you’ll get to shout BINGO, but I can guarantee you’ll have a fun time trying!

I will be travelling April 23-27 to San Diego, CA for the annual North American Cathedral Deans Conference. I will join with other active Deans, retired Deans, and Deans’ spouses from across the US and Canada for worship, prayer, meetings, and refreshment. The Conference is hosted by St. Paul’s Cathedral in San Diego.

Please continue to pray for one another, for our Cathedral family, for our nation, and the world.
