| Update on the Memorial Garden Upgrade and Expansion for Lasting Remembrance |
![]() ![]() The Memorial Garden is getting a new, and durable, look this summer. Our current limestone memorials are weathering and approaching their capacity for engraving. To continue honoring all who are part of our sacred memory, we are upgrading to granite. Granite has been chosen for its exceptional durability and ability to withstand conditions over time, ensuring that the names and inscriptions remain legible and beautifully preserved for generations. The granite for the Memorial Garden has arrived in Kansas City and the monument company is working on the layout for the names. We are excited for this upcoming enhancement to our beloved memorial garden area that is driven by a heartfelt purpose: to continue honoring the cherished members of our community in a dignified and enduring way. It’s not too late to reserve your place in the Memorial Garden and have your name(s) engraved on the new granite before it’s installation. Cathedral Administrator Julie Toma. |
