Lay Ministry • 06.12.2026

The Lay Ministry of Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral strives to contribute, sustain and support our mission to, “serve Christ in all people, loving our neighbors as ourselves while striving for justice, peace and respect for every human being. Our worship, prayer and formation support the restorative strength of our community, reconciling all people to God and one another through Christ.” Worship is a large part of our Cathedral, with four services a week, it constitutes a dedication to provide a consistent, life-giving Eucharist to those who seek the Word and applications of the message into our lives.

Volunteers compose the Lay Ministry. People working freely to benefit others. Believing their efforts contribute to the greater good. An unselfish gift of time and effort. There are 13 Ministries at GHTC that combine together in order to support our services. More 30 volunteers serve in the three Sunday services every week. Thirty volunteers who give freely of their time, believe their efforts contribute to the greater good, and unselfishly gift their time and talent.

Your church needs you! We have a real shortage of volunteer support in our Lay Ministries, especially Acolytes, Ushers, Greeters, Oblation Bearers, Livestreaming, and Holy Hands. I’m writing to you today to ask if you would be able to become a part of these or one or more of our other 13 ministries?

Contact me for questions and/or more information. You can also get full descriptions of the different ministries and/or to sign up on our website.
