Another Diocesan Convention is in the books. We had an opening Eucharist and dinner on Friday evening, followed by a business session on Saturday. We elected new members to Diocesan Council and Standing Committee, as well as other diocesan groups. We also elected our Deputies and Alternate Deputies to next year’s General Convention. Many thanks to the Cathedral staff and Diocesan staff for their work in hosting the convention this year. I especially want to thank Joan Bergstrom and the Altar Guild, Julie Toma, Holly Campbell, Chris and Christine Morrison, and Angie Graham and the facility staff for all their hard work. It was announced that, for the first time in eight years, the Convention will take place in the Southern Deanery next year.

Kirkin’ o the Tartan is now upon us as we will have members of the St. Andrew’s Pipes and Drums at both morning services. Choral Evensong will be at 5 p.m.

Looking ahead, we have our Holiday Movie night at 6:30 p.m. on November 21, our Thanksgiving service at 10 a.m. on November 27, our Advent decorating day & Altar Guild workday from 9-12 on November 29, and our pledge ingathering and the start of Advent on November 30. We have a lot to look forward to and a lot for which to be thankful.

Thank you to all who came to our Stewardship Gatherings on Wednesday and Thursday, and to those who will come tonight.

Please continue to pray for one another, for our Cathedral family, for our nation, and the world.
