We have a lot happening over the course of next week, I hope you’ll join in!
- The excitement begins tomorrow with a Valentine’s Day Brunch at 11:30 a.m. at the home of Diane and Dave Barker (202 Sunset Ln. in Belton). Feel free to bring your favorite Valentine treat and/or drink to share.
- On Sunday we have our Shrove Sunday Pancake breakfast following both morning services and Choral Evensong at 5 p.m.
- Tuesday is our Mardi Gras Jambalaya Dinner at 6 p.m. in Founders’ Hall
(You may register for the above events here)
- Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 18. We will offer three opportunities for the imposition of ashes and Holy Eucharist that day at 7 a.m., 12:05 p.m., and 7 p.m. Also on Ash Wednesday, at 5:30 p.m., you can join Canon James in the Common Room for a workshop, Making a Spiritual Assessment & Developing a Rule of Life. To round out the week we have Diocesan ordinations on Saturday, February 21 at 10 a.m.
We also have a lot going on during the rest of Lent. Our Lenten Program: Faithful Living, Faithful Dying will take place on Wednesday evenings February 25–March 25 from 6:30–7:45 p.m. Canon James will continue his Sunday formation class at 9:15 a.m. in the Common Room (with the exception of this Sunday) and I’ll be leading a Confirmation/Inquirers class, Episcopal 101, on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. in the Multipurpose Room in Lower Founders’ Hall starting this Sunday.
Come join us as we end this season of Epiphany in a fun frenzy and prepare to begin a Holy Lent. Please continue to pray for one another, for our Cathedral family, our nation, and the world.
