Greetings from Charlotte, NC. Well, technically speaking, we’re now all on our way back, but we’ve been in Charlotte since Monday at the EPN Conference. We had a good week of meetings, addresses, and time with fellow Episcopalians from all across the country. We heard an amazing conversation between the Presiding Bishop, the Most Rev. Sean Rowe, and author/journalist Jonathon Rausch. Bishop Sean has called upon us, the Episcopal Church, to be a moral voice in our country right now, to live into our baptismal covenant and continue to “respect the dignity of every human being,” and to “go forth into the world in peace.” Truly a good message as we face a world of uncertainty, war, and division. Jonathan Rausch added that as Christians, Episcopalians need to embody Jesus in the world right now, to love one another, and to forgive one another. A powerful statement for sure. As we look ahead, those of us who attended EPN will have a chance to share what we’ve learned with the Cathedral and what ideas we have to strengthen and enlighten our community.

Our Lenten Program continues on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Common Room.
Don’t forget to change your clocks this weekend when you go to sleep on Saturday. Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday at 2 a.m.
Please continue to pray for one another, for our Cathedral family, our nation, and the world.
